The image shows the formation of a growth halo surrounding the stab-inoculation site for all bifidobacterial strains whose T4aP locus was predicted through genomic investigation. Whereas no halo formation is observed at the stab-inoculation site of B. adolescentis ATCC 15703T, which lacks the locus and is therefore included as a negative control. Petri dish images were acquired using a Biobase colony counter, with plates placed above the instrument’s light source. The bar represents 1 cm.
