Prof. Lei Wang

School of Public Health, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China.
Prof. Lei Wang from the School of Public Health, Capital Medical University, has long focused on the mechanisms and translational research of dysregulated signaling pathways involving damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs), such as metabolites and inflammatory mediators, and their coupled GPCRs in cardiovascular diseases. She has served as principal investigator of the Young Scientists Fund and General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as an organized research project supported by the Capital Medical Science Innovation Center, and has also been a core member of a National Science and Technology Major Project. In recent years, she has published multiple SCI papers as first or corresponding author (including co-corresponding author) in leading journals such as Circulation, European Heart Journal, Hypertension, Cardiovascular Diabetology, and Nature Communications. She also serves as a reviewer for Circulation and has contributed as associate editor or editorial board member to several monographs and expert consensus statements. She was selected for the Beijing Overseas High-Level Talent Program.

Topic: Metabolic Basis of Life Span Regulation and Intervention

Prof. Yibin Wang obtained his training in molecular genetics and cell biology from Baylor College of Medicine and conducted post-doctoral research in neurobiology and cardiovascular diseases at The Scripps Research Institute and UC San Diego. Since 1998 Prof. Wang’s laboratory has focused on genetic network and molecular basis of cardiovascular physiology and diseases. Prof. Wang’s lab has a long track record in discovering novel components and novel interactions in stress-signal transduction pathways in mammalian cells through biochemical proteomic molecular and genomic approaches. Recently, Prof. Wang’s lab has also employed systems-based approach in gene and pathway discovery for cardiovascular and metabolic disease. Prof. Wang’s lab has established a broad spectrum of research approaches in cardiac biology from molecular biology cell physiology to intact heart physiology genomics and systems biology. Prof. Wang has been supported by NIH DoD and other extramural grants throughout his research career and published more than 240 scientific articles.

Assoc. Prof. Jingwen Zhang

Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Affiliated Hospital of Shandong Second Medical University, Weifang, Shandong, China.
Jingwen Zhang is an Associate Research Fellow in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong Second Medical University. Her research focuses on cardiovascular aging and metabolic remodeling, particularly the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cardiac injury and repair in response to metabolic stress, as well as the development of novel interventional strategies. Dr. Zhang has served as principal investigator on several national and provincial-level research projects and has published multiple papers in peer-reviewed international journals. She currently serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member of The Journal of Cardiovascular Aging (JCA) and Journal of Translational Internal Medicine (JTIM).
