Special Issue Introduction
As the global elderly population continues to grow, cardiovascular aging and related diseases pose a significant burden on individuals and society. Exercise is widely acknowledged as a cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle, offering manifold benefits for the cardiovascular system. Mounting evidence has shown that derangements in fuel and energy metabolism contribute to the development of cardiovascular diseases, and the promotion of metabolic health plays a central role in underlying exercise-afforded benefits. To delve deeper into the realm of exercise-programmed cardiovascular metabolism, we cordially invite researchers to share their findings on the topic of "Exploring Exercise-Programed Cardiovascular Metabolism: Mechanisms, Implications, and Clinical Application". Original research articles, timely reviews, and short communications are welcomed. This Special Issue aims to contribute to the much-needed knowledge regarding exercise-programed metabolism in cardiovascular health and disease, promoting the development of appropriate interventions and novel drug therapies, which will provide valuable insights and vital information for scientific and clinical researchers.
