A red skin marker facilitated consistent imaging from D5 to D42. The proximal end of the hair shaft was highlighted each day (indicated by colored bars on the right margin of each panel). The hair fiber in the grafted follicle is represented by a blue bar (on the right side of the hair on D0). This segment shifts as it is pushed out from the graft, from D5 to D11 and from D11 to D25, respectively, indicated by additional green and yellow bars.
